History

In this game you can trace a lot of things yourself. All of the changes in the game and on the pages in this site are recorded and all of the history will be saved. This also goes for pictures. Keep this in mind on postings. This site is a means of supporting the management game and therefore just another vehicle to bring you the right information. All of your behaviour in the game will be monitored and saved. In fact this is the case on almost any website you visit, but normally you would not notice it that easy. So far nothing special there.

Recognisable

To make all of the platform recognisable we have build it in the same software as Wikipedia is build. This software is called Mediawiki. There is thousands of wiki’s on the internet, and there are hundreds of software packages in which you can build a wiki. Mediawiki is as many other applications, open source software. So we can build all of the structure almost exactly the way we want it to be. Of course we want the wiki to stay quick and stable and the navigation logical and recognisable.

Privacy

This platform is part of a much bigger project: the Management game Emerald Forest. The project is part of study programs of a number of institutes all over the world. Anything you write can and will be used in he study program of others institutes: just keep that in mind. So, it is important that you only use photo’s and pictures hat are free of copyrights! We advise you not to put too much real private information on this site as all of this will stay on this site for eternity. Of course, playing the game, you play a role. And in this role you have to present your team etc: we see no problem in that.

Of course we respects the privacy of all users of this website and ensures that personal information provided to us by email and/or by contact form not related to the content of the game, will be treated confidentially and in conformity with the Dutch Privacy Law (Wet Bescherming Persoonsgegevens).

Fun

We have tested working with the game and this wiki for two years, and we found out that there are stable and fun. The management game offers you the opportunity the work in a modern way, to be creative and learn form others. We hope you will enjoy it!

Documents and pictures take

As all of the game is very much into Web 2.0 and the visibility of things, as a part of the whole of the game pictures and movies will be made of the teams, teammembers and individuals. All of this will be used on this site, in presentations and in other things related to the Emerald Forest. By playing the game all of the participants accept this and refrain from any rights on these pictures and movies. This also goes for other documents made related to this game. Of course if anyone finds something published which he/she would like to be removed for good reasons, please inform the game council and we will consider this seriously.

The general public

The Management game itself is only accessible to competitors and guests. So most of the materials will be only visible to the group of people working in the game. Still, a lot of posting are done on the internet on dump-sites like Flickr and Youtube. We do not encourage this, but in a way this is accessible to the general public: bear this in mind. Apart form this we also work with promo-material (printed, DVD's ) etc. in which, by change, material or photo's of your team might appear. If, for a good reason, you do not want this to happen, please contact us in time!
